Tomatillos are perfectly in season, so make some spicy & delicious salsa verde!
I enjoyed this on my burritos and Mexican rice bowls this week. It's the perfect combination of spicy and tangy to drizzle on top of those veggies and black beans!
So without further ado, here's the recipe: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients: - 6 fresh tomatillos - 1 jalapeno - 1 tablespoon olive oil - 2-3 cloves garlic - 1/2 cup cilantro (loosely packed) - salt to taste ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instructions:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Remove the husks from the tomatillos.
2. Broil the tomatillos and jalapenos for 5-10 minutes until charred.
3. Once cooled, transfer to your food processor and blitz it up with the rest of the ingredients. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
